We define and compute two specific balls for every hole of a geometric object. One ball corresponds to the thickness (~fragility, in red), whereas the other corresponds to the breadth (~size, in blue) of the hole. Read more

We prove a combinatorial and geometric version of Alexander duality with a constructive proof, based on HDVFs. This allows us to define four different representations of homological holes, named homology quartets. Read more

We provide a combinatorial characterization of the homology bases computed by standard computational homology methods (discrete Morse theory, standard persistent homology, modified Smith normal form, tri-partitions), using homological discrete vector fields. Read more

This preprint is a study about the graph of perfect HDVFs. We provide an algorithm relating two perfect HDVFs, showing this graph is connected. We also provide an algorithm to adapt a HDVF to a given explicit basis. Read more

We extend steady and ranging persistence from graphs to other categories, and provide a characterization of the features that give rise to stable steady and ranging persistent diagrams. We show examples for hypergraphs. Read more

This paper is an extension of the paper Characterization of the Computed Homology and Cohomology Bases. We characterize the homology and cohomology bases computed by standard computational homology methods. We also characterize the pair of homology and cohomology bases that can be computed simultaneously. Read more

Cover for the ENS de Lyon student life booklet. The blue and orange sides represent the Monod and Descartes campuses, respectively.

A participative mural I co-organized for Art Total student festival at ENS de Lyon, through the art association Enplastik. Read more

Made after a weird dream.

A fan art of the manga Dreamland, by Reno Lemaire.

This was directly inspired by the clip Tomita by Jaga Jazzist (Directed & Animated by Jengo), which in turn was directly inspired by the game Journey by Thatgamecompany. The music is also a homage to the composer Isao Tomita.

A canvas painted with three stencils, and additional techniques (watercolor, markers, …).

I wanted to represent “constructions” with a formula. Read more

Inspired by the beautiful clip of Beside April by Badbadnotgood, directed by Camille Summers-Valli.

Here is a representation of a continuous transformation from the complement of a torus in a 3-sphere, to two intertwined annulus. This is an example to help understand Alexander duality. Read more

Some footage of a video game I am currently working on. I made the different visual elements using pixel arts and some shaders. The hardest part is to do the animations for the character’s movement.

I made two granny squares for the project Granny Life initiated by Laura Taalman. In total, 242 unique granny squares have been combined in a two-sided 11x11 blanket. Every pattern was generated by a cellular automaton. The whole piece was exposed in Maison Poincaré for the exhibition Création, entre arts et mathematiques in 2026. Read more
Folding a dodecagon into a tri-torus. This was presented at IHP for the workshop Bridging visualization and understanding in Geometry and Topology of the Illustration as a Mathematical research technique program.
